Residential building of 511 House is located in Pacific Palisades, California. Kanner Architects completed this 3,500 square feet house in two storeys. The main house areas such as the living room, kitchen and dining room are all on the first floor. The first floor is nearly all lit by natural sunlight with windows and sliding glass doors everywhere.

House KvD is located in the woods of Teteringen, close to Breda. Important, from the residents point of view, was to experience the green environment in a most intense way. This ambition has formed the main concept of the building: A house that feeds in between the trees, giving every arbitrary movement a surprising perspective on the forest. The square-shaped volume keeps you, while moving through the building, in constant contact with the environment.

The site is located nearby a natural park 20 miles NW of Barcelona. It is a magical place, surrounded by pine trees,oaks, and holm oaks and scented by the perfume of wild bushes and flowers…The peculiarity of the natural setting, the views of the valley and the functionality that the client demanded made us think of those Californian homes designed by Richard Neutra back in the 50’s. The house with a “V” shape plan had to be horizontal, tectonic, but at the same time friendly and respectful with the forest. It had to levitate on the site in order to simulate weightlessness.

Unique Floating House designed by Mohn and Bouman Architect From an urban point of view, a multi-storey volume was prefereable.However, the client asked for a single-storey building due to the nature of its use. To solve this contradiction, a shape was designed in such a way that the urban requirement for a visual accent was met. The island and building were developed together to form a fully integrated sculptural landscape of the roof and facades.
