The house was the work of Turnbull Griffin Haesloop Architects that was completed in 2008. The project also involved landscape architect Jennifer Brooke and interior designer John and Loreta Hornall. The size of the house is 1,700 square feet with wooden materials as the dominant element. However, to make it more convincingly sustainable, the exterior is covered in cedar siding with a metal roof.
