Q:  Nice try.  So, who is paying you to do this?
A:  Nobody.  My wife and I have created, and are funding, this website out of our own pockets.  We see it as giving back to the community that supported us for many years as business owners.

A:  Absolutely not.  Not only do we not ask for any form of payment from Our Pick, but we wouldn't accept it if it was offered.  Along with not accepting payment, we also will not become clients of Our Pick, even though we would like to, so that there is complete impartiality in our selection and reporting.

A:  My wife an I looked back at our experiences and thought about everything we did wrong.  Then, we took that info and created our selection process.

A:  Yes.  In fact, if this website is a success, we are planning on making an entire series of websites dedicated to professions that impact our lives on a day-to-day basis.

Q:  How did you pick the 1000 financial professionals that you reviewed for this project?
A:  My wife and I tried to get a representative sample of professionals from different brokerages, independent brokers, insurance companies, etc.  Obviously, we can't test everyone.  But we feel very comfortable that Our Pick will stand up to anyone.

Q:  So, when you pick someone, are they the title-holder for life?
A:  Not necessarily.  We will go through this process every two years with 600 new financial professionals and the person who was last selected as Our Pick.  This allows us to reevaluate the field and determine if there is someone else who should hold the title.
